NAV 2009 R2 - Error Encountered for Tax Calculation of Sales Transaction with Use Tax Area Code Assigned to Customer

*** URGENT RESPONSE REQUESTED - THIS IS A ISV DEVELOPMENT BLOCKING ISSUE ***

While doing ad-hoc testing, we have encountered an error message while posting a sales transaction to which an Use Tax Area code was associated. For testing this scenario, we used Use Tax Area Code ‘66008.U01’ to which following Tax Jurisdictions are associated:

KS….01SU

KSDON01NU

For Tax Jurisdiction KS….01SU, Effective Date is ‘7/1/2002’ and for Tax Jurisdiction KSDON01NU, Effective Date is ‘7/1/2003’. For the sales transaction created, Posting Date, Document Date and Order Date are same i.e. ‘7/12/2012’.

The error message details are as given below:

While posting the order, the same error message is getting displayed.

Furthermore, the same error message is also getting displayed for a Non CCH Tax Aea created in NAV 2009 ERP to which Non CCH Tax Jurisdiction with Tax Type as ‘Use Tax Only’ is associated. The error message details are as given below:

Therefore, we can conclude that this is NAV issue and not related to STLU. However, if anyone knows the resolution for this issue then please share the same.
