    Hi @rp@n,

Please check the 'IsCredit' field in table 'GeneralJournalAccountEntry ', and you can use it as a condition of sql statement.

    Please see the old thread:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @rp@n,

The IsCredit checkbox is one option to filter the records. Yet, it requires that you don't post with opposite signs on the debit/credit side.

What you can try alternatively is filtering for amounts larger than 0 because debit amounts are 'positive' ones while credit ones are the ones that post with a negative sign.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanx Ludwig

As of now I applied logic as you suggested the second one. Could you please let me know how to use the logic for "IsCredit" check box ?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

    Good Morning @rp@n,

The isCredit checkbox is not available in the VendTrans table but in the GeneralJournalAccountEntry table that Will WU mentioned.

If you want to use this one for vendtrans related records you would have to create some complex query to get a hold on this field as there is no direct relationship between VendTrans and GeneralJournalAccountEntry.

Yet, I am not sure whether this is the better approach because all depends on how your finance colleagues post. As an example posting -5 USD in the credit field could be considered as a debit and vice versa. This transaction can be considered as a debit transaction but it might also be related to a correction that has been made. For that reason, I would recommend not only looking at the sign / column but also to take the additional fields such as e.g. the transaction type into consideration to identify the underlying nature of the transaction.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
