Users are able to invoice Sales orders even without submitting them

Hi DAXers,

I have faced a crazy scenario in which users have invoiced a few SOs without even submitting them.

I have explored all options to see if any options are enabled to confirm, pick pack or invoice an SO. but could not find anything.

Any ideas how users were able to invoice without getting approvals and even without submitting the SO.?

Thanks in adnvance,

Suba

    Dear Ludwig and Kaled,

I have figured out the issue.

In our AX app, users are be able to confirm and invoice SOs even without submitting to workflow as confirm and invoice buttons are enabled by default even for draft SOs.

i.e. There is no validation/control in our system which controls SO confirmation/invoicing based on SO status (which I am planning to introduce).

    Hello Suba,

If users can post invoices without submitting them to your workflow then double check that the workflow version is active.

Also check the workflow conditions to ensure that specific kinds of sales orders are not excluded from the workflow.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

1- Is it a customized workflow?

2- Maybe the SOs were invoiced before enabling the workflow; however, i have not seen workflows for SOs before, therefore users can invoice the SO without any submit or confirm.

    Hi Ludwig,

    Appreciate your immediate response.

Yes we have a workflow setup for SO processing.

    Hello Suba,

What do you mean exactly by submitting them?

Do you have a workflow setup or an automatic batch job that is possibly doing this in the background?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
