Security Role Access to Opportunity

Hi Community,

I have been struggling with setting the security role access to Opportunities. I want the security role to be configured in a way that the users should only see their own opportunities but when I set the Read access to user, the user can still see all the opportunities. Same happens for quotes, orders and invoices. I have attached the screenshot below for reference.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi AbubakrWorking

I do not think the type of thread should be a discussion. It should be a question. I am seeing the similarity between your post and the DIE PIC post: (+) Opportunity in read only - Dynamics 365 Sales Forum Community Forum.

You should need to use Privileges Discovery Tool in XRM Tool Box. This will help you to find the association of privilege with roles and then with users.

    Hi AbubakrWorking

Take all roles from the user except the one on which the privilege is assigned. This should be the resolution of the issue.

    Hi Abdul Wahab,

The only roles assigned to the user currently are Dynamics 365 User for Outlook, Sales Enterprise App Access and the custom security role which I created. If I take set access level to none on the Opportunity entity in the custom role, then the user is unable to see even his own opportunities, but when I set it to user level, then the user can see everyone's opportunity.

Secondly, I have checked the access level in Privilege Discovery tool. The access level is set to User for all e.g, Create, Read, Write, Append, Share etc.

    Thanks!

    Hi AbubakrWorking,

It seems the privileges are coming from the team. Check the association of the user with teams.

    Hi Abdul Wahab ,

There is no security role assigned to the team. Thanks!
