Direct Printing on Business Central ( on-premises)

Greetings to all of you.

We just got a new support contract from a customer who just migrated from Dynamics NAV to Business Central on-premises.

The first case that we got ( and we haven't deal with such a case before ) , its about direct printing.

The customer needs the direct printing to work , just as it worked on Dynamics NAV.

I searched a lot about it and i came to the conclusion that direct printing doesn't come as standard on Business Central ( on-prem ) . The customer deployment is not a hybrid one , so i guess that i can't use Universal print, right?

Nonetheless , is there any way to do it ? We dont have big experience on customizations ( code with AL ) so even if that's the way to go , some help will be really appreciated!

Thanks a lot in advance for your time!

With respect,
Antonis.

    Hi

If you could not find any solution then these are my suggestion

    1) Check with Fenwick. They have on-prem app for print-it app. I know a few clients that use this  https://support.fenwick.com.au/hc/en-au/sections/360000313655-Print-It-with-Cloud-Companion

    2) Check with InsightWork and see if they have on-prem app for their Printnode app https://www.dmsiworks.com/products/printnode-connector/

Hi, maybe you should try Universal Print in Business Central.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

My solution for that is to use “--kiosk-printing”  option in chrome  and edge  browsers, here some info example about it, there are lot of examples on the web:
