Restore LIVE Database to UAT database

Dear All,

i'm done restore my LIVE Database to my UAT Database.

when I open my AX, I got limited module I could open.

anyone know why ? it is because I need to input the configuration key first or license ?

need your advice.

Which database are you talking about, since AX has 2. One for business data and configuration, and another for code/objects referred as Model DB.

If you are not seeing the data or code which you are expecting, check if you have moved the correct databases (normally should be both), verify that against which database are your AX AOS instances connecting, and check if your AX configuration files are pointing to the right AOS instance.

Also as part of the restore script, you should have reset the installation-specific unique identifier for your AOS in the database in the SysSQMSettings table, to avoid old cached AOT objects in your Windows user profile folder within the *.AUC files.

Hi benjamin,

It could be the case where you used to have full access in UAT where in LIVE environment you had limited access. after the restore in UAT you probably have same access as in LIVE.

Check your security level in UAT environment.

yes I could access all module in LIVE, altrought I don't have development access in LIVE.
