Restore Missing Customer Record and associated payments

Is there a process to restore a customer record and associated payments? I have an available backup of the company data in a test environment. I am using GP 2013R2.

Thanks

Thanks Tim and Leslie for your suggestions. After performing a deeper dive into this situation, it appeared that the customer record had been "removed", however, the transactions and history remained. After recreating the customer record using the same ID, all of the transactions and history were re-linked. I am still trying to determine how the customer record was removed.

    Hi,

Was a customer and its history removed somehow? Trying to do this using SQL, as Tim said, is not the way to go. Consider using Integration Manager to import the transactions and postings. You can use your backup database as the 'source' for your import. It'll take a certain amount of finesse to get this done, but I think it's doable with Integration Manager. IM will follow all of the business logic.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

This is not a "normal" thing to do.

You could try to restore all the records relating to the customer back into the tables, but it is going to be involved and need lots of checking after on the test system to see if it breaks anything. I can't say I'd recommend it.

    Tim.
