Hi all,

We are using NAV 2015 - UK, Cumulative Update 16. We see a terrible system-wide slowness and we are planning for an upgrade. I have gone through the cumulative update platform updates.

I just wanted to know more technical details of the following fixes.

Cumulative Update 25
* 381209 Performance issue with NAvSqlQueryCommand on high load.

Cumulative Update 24
* 380883 NST does not handle transient SQL errors properly.

I do not have either any access to additional materials, related to CU 24/25, so running as Jonathan suggested is the best option if you opt for CU updates.

However, there might be other reasons for the performance degradation; e.g., blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../degraded-performance-on-dynamics-nav-and-the-sql-server-tokenandpermuserstore

first install your nav 2015 version on a clean new server and make some performance tests to check, if you have the same situation. then install cu 24, make tests, install cu 25, make additional tests.

to check the performance issues on your current system, run sql profiler and make some user tests, measure the runtimes for the sql commands to check which commands need most time to run.
