Hi,
How can we customize the status bar in Dynamics AX 2012?

For example status bar is different for HCMWorkerListPage and CustTableListPage. So, it means there is a way to customise the status bar.

Please advise.

Hello

The status bar can be customized in the following menu:

File - Tools - Options - Status bar tab.

I think not downside.

upside top bar, its possible to include custom text.

can you please include a screenshot of bar, which you are pointing

Hi Shoaib,

As we know that each user can customize the his/her status bar from File>Tools>Options>Status Bar. There are a set of options that can be enabled on Options>Status Bar. Apart from these can we create our own button (like notification or currency which are already present). For example just consider this scenario (this is just a lame example to explain what I am trying to say) we will put a menu item say "user details" on clicking it a form opens that displays the details of current user.

Can you please tell me how to add custome message to top bar of workspace and development workspace window. Message should be displayed to all users when user start AX.

The purpose of this message could be to alert users if any maintenance activity is going on at backoffice.

Appreciate any help and support.
