I have a bank reconciliation that the system will not let me reverse. The reason I am trying to reverse it is that it looks wrong!

Shouldn't there be a matching transaction in the right hand pane?!

When I try to reverse the reconciliation (so I can delete it), I get "Cannot edit a record in Bank statement report entry (BankStmtISOReportEntry). The record has never been selected"

Hi all

Many thanks for your suggestions, but I've been able to sort this following the steps below (putting here in case it helps others in the future!)

From the Worksheet view of the bank reconciliation, make a note of the transactions that are present in the “BANK TRANSACTIONS” grid

Go to Cash and bank management > Bank statement reconciliation > Bank statements

Find the latest bank statement for the bank account with the issue (it is likely to be in [Status] = “Confirmed”). The transactions in the bank statement should match the transactions noted in step 1 above

Select the bank statement to open the record

Click Reopen

Click Delete to delete the bank statement

Go to Cash and bank management > Bank statement reconciliation > Bank transactions

Filter on the bank account you are interested in, and find the transactions noted in step 1

One by one, select each transaction and click Reconciliation relations

In the form that opens, click Cancel reconciliation

Perform steps 9 and 10 for all the transactions

When complete, return to Cash and bank management > Bank statement reconciliation > Bank reconciliations

Try reversing the bank reconciliation again. You should see the reverse was successful

You can now delete the reconciliation and start the process again

Strange.

Can you try by changing the view of bank transactions?

Also, you said you are going to upgrade to 10.0.40, can you try after upgrade and after enabling the modern bank recon feature and migrating to that y running the periodic task?

Version is 10.0.38 (upgrading to 10.0.40 this week).

1. No workflow involved

2. No but I enabling them and tried the operation again - same result :-(

Which version you are in?

There are multiple reasons for which you are not able to reverse.

1.Do you have any bank reconciliation workflow?

2.Have you enabled the below features?

3. The error you mentioned, when it is coming? is it during "Reverse reconciliation " button ?

It appears that a bank statement has been imported yet, is that correct? If so, there's been no reconciliation to reverse.
