I have a resource/resource group that has items that I don’t want to output to the same location. Is there a way, on the item level, to designate a different output location than the default set on the resource group?

Hi allaboutax

If you're using the Warehouse management module, AX can create Work of type Finished Goods Put Away. It would be possible to configure this put away work to direct the items to a different location, depending on some property of the item. This method is particularly appropriate if you are using the Warehouse mobile device to register the Report as finished itself.

If you use this method, the items will technically share the same output location, but will immediately be moved to the location you want by the put away work.
