Setup Developer Toolkit for VS 2019 Professional

Hello everyone,

I want to install the Developer Toolkit for my Visual Studio 2019 Professional.

After following this article: crmfortress.com/.../

It seems to work fine, however, after connecting to my CRM Online instance, the CRM Explorer does not show anything in there (it just shows the root CRM organization), no entity or workflow, nothing.

The tool works fine in Visual Studio 2019 Community, but not Professional. I don't know why.

Has anyone experienced this issue? And how could I solve this issue?

Hi Anh,

The article that you followed is a workaround for installing Dynamics 365 Developer toolkit extension into VS 2019. Officially this plugin is only supported for Visual Studio 2012, 2013, and 2015. This workaround is a good tweaking but unfortunately it can not be used with VS 2019 Professional due to some restrictions on Professional version. If you would like to use professional, switch back to 2015, and if you are strictly concentrated with 2019 you would have to use community.

I personally tried to use this workaround for VS 2017, but it wasn't a good waste of time.
