Hello pals,

Is there a way to disable warehouse management on NAV 2013? We are not using that module and is giving me lot of issues when posting inventory.

    RE: disabling warehouse management

    Thank you to all for helping me out with my issue related with warehouse management. I was able to fix the problem by disabling the "Mandatory Bin Code" plus disabling some code related with warehouse management when quantity to ship was validated.

    Kind Regards,

    Alex.

    seems to be a bug for me, which occurs, when special conditions are met.

    RE: disabling warehouse management

    We are upgrading NAV from 3.0 to dynamics 2013. We never purchase the warehouse granule so we develop a complex bin code where date produce and date stack are involved. Now going through the upgrade is a challenge.

    Is hard to explain all the process we do but some times the bin code assigned disappear from field after printing Bill of Landing.

    Anyway, I will be bugging you guys asking for help when is need it.

    Thank you again for all your support.

    that can be done by setup of the used locations.

    goto msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh172965(v=nav.70).aspx for details

    disable checkboxes

    * Bin Mandatory

    * Require Pick

    * Require Put-away

    RE: disabling warehouse management

    Hi Alex,

    well, the best way is not to set it up at first. Warehousing is enabled by location, with the field "Bin Mandatory". If you are sure that you don't need it and have a NAV consultant who knows what he's doing then you can disable this field with a batch in all locations, and clean up the bin contents, and delete warehouse entries.

    The same goes for "Require Receipt" and "Require Shipment". But again, this is for a consultant who has experience with this functionality and knows what to clean up afterwards.

    Once you've posted on a location with warehousing enabled, you can't disable it without the help of your NAV partner.

    with best regards

    Jens
