Cancel/Delete of a Return Order

Hi Everyone,

Could someone please help me to delete/cancel a Return Order.

The status of the Return order is "Open" and the lines within the RO has been deleted.

How do I delete or cancel this as a RO with "Open" status can not be deleted?

    Did you try from this path Sales and marketing > Periodic > Clean up > Delete return orders ? Or somewhere else?

    Hi Crispin,

    I have tried this method. It does not allow me to delete a return order with an open status.

    Is there a way that I can close or cancel the RO?

    The lines within the RO have been deleted.

    Hi Crispin,

    I have seen this post.

    The problem is that we don't have any lines in this return order as it was deleted after the return order's status was open. So I cannot update lines. 

    Should I try and insert a line or 2 and then try to process the RO?

    If you attempt to post a packing slip for the Return order, can you get the order lines to appear on that form? If so, you can access the 'Registration' form from there. Use it to un-register the lines (but don't actually post the packing slip).

    Hi,

    I am having this same issue:

    Return order lines have been deleted however the return order status is still set on "Open". This means AX is expecting items to arrive however no lines are there (and no items), it is just an empty RO. 

    Same for the attached SO: no lines are there.

    I want to delete the whole order but am unable because status is "Open". 

    Does anyone know a fix for this because it seems more like a product "bug" to me.

    Hello,

    We are facing the same issue with several RO's/SO's. Lines have been deleted, order is 'Open' status and is not able to be deleted.

    Just wanted to check to see if anyone has resolved this issue yet.
