reservation function to change main account in the future

Is there a function to reserve a change of main account (like Revenue in sales order) for some time in the future? main account will remain the same until the reserved day comes.

Hi,

You can't change main account number, however you can keep the main account active for some days in future by using Active to option in main account level.

hello Ramit, thanks for the reply.

sorry for the misleading, i meant to use other main account number as one of the posting account in the item groups like Revenue.

Good morning sparkchu,

There is not automatic functionality available that could help you exchanging an account for example in the inventory posting matrix where you setup the revenue accounts used when you post a sales order.

Those setup tables don't have a date validation and are valid as is; meaning, what is setup there is directly used for the next transaction posted.

If you have some 'pending' or forthcoming future changes that you want to implement then you need to put a reminder e.g. in your calendar and make the change on the very day you want to have it.
