Cannot move from Lead to Opportunity

Hi all,

I am currently running a Dynamics Sales Trial and I cannot move a lead to an opportunity.

Research this forum, I found this historical thread    however it is of little help because I have filled out the relevant Quality field and yet, it won't allow me to the next step. it doesn't auto create an opportunity nor does it allow me to manually override.

This seems really odd - and certainly not intuitive but I perhaps i am missing something simple.

Regards,

Mark

PS - in the meantime, so as not to waste time on the 30 day trial, I am simply skipping the Lead stage and entering them as opportunities.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Mark,

Can you provide more details like your lead is on which stage on BPF ? Because if we want to move from qualify stage then it will ask for opportunity and for that we have qualify our lead. have you qualify your lead ?

    Thank you,

    Amit Katariya

    Hi Amit,

Thanks for your answer, I believe I have qualified the lead - see screenshot below - it doesn't auto create the opportunity nor allow me to override and move to an opportunity or move to next stage - Develop. This Screenshot might help - all the Qualify elements have been completed.

    Hi partner,

I'm a trial version like you, but it works fine after I fill in the basic info. Did you click the 'qualify' button? When the qualify button is clicked, leads are automatically converted into opportunities. The qualify stage also moves to the develop stage. as the picture shows.

There is a button Qualify on Ribbon please click on it. It will create an opportunity and then you will able to move to next step in BPF.

Leco Lv Perfect - that's the solution - so simple, I feel like a goose for overlooking it and having to ask the question. Thanks Again

Thanks Amit Katariya007 - much appreciated - that works - fixed and as I said to another forum member just now - I feel like a goose now that I can see it is so simple. Thanks again.

    Hi partner,

    Don't mention it.

I noticed that you may have just started using dynamics sales. Here I have prepared a Microsoft link for you. You can learn more about how to implement various functions of sales according to the menu on the left. I hope it can help you someday in the future.

Thanks again @Leco LV believe it or not, I am referencing that link but probably trying to move too fast. I am learning by using/doing... and it's good. Sometimes I just forget how I entered stuff - like in some opportunities I have added a ''probability' - a number between 1 -100 in the probability field and yet now , I can't for the life of me find how I did that a few days ago ... I am sure I'll find my way back. It's not complex - I am not adding rules or anything just a number and yet the field appears locked and I cannot even edit the historical numbers I had entered. Again - just me moving too fast. I'll get there. :-)
