Warning message not displaying

Hello Dynamics GP Gurus!

We have a situation where the warning message

"You cannot void this sales order because manufacturing orders are attached to one or more line items"

is not displaying when our Customer Service personnel are going to try to void Sales Orders.  It works and appears, and then it doesn't work or appear.  It seems to be working intermittently, only when it feels like it.

I have checked and the MO is linked and the Xreference is there between the SO and MO's.  Any assistance as to why the error message is behaving this way, and how to get it to reappear would be greatly appreciated?  I've never seen this happen before.

    Hello Becky,

The 3rd Party update is the issue.  I disabled it and the GP warning message came back.  Unfortunately, we need the 3rd party ISV to work also.  So I've contacted them regarding the issue.  Thank you for your help!

If it is not working at all, I would suggest disabling third parties related to SOP and MFG and see if you get the message then.

If this does not help you, please open a support incident so a technician can take a look at your system.

    Hello Becky,

Thank you for responding.  The message is not currently appearing for any of them.  Is there another way of researching the issue and how to resolve it?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

My name is Becky and I will assist you with this.

This error message is determine by the information in the IS010001. Run the below script for a SOP document that is not getting the error message and for one that you can void with the error message. Compare the two results and see what columns have different values.

select * from is010001 where SOPNUMBE='enter you SOP number'

    Hello Isaac,

Thank you for responding.  I had referenced the KB you have before submitting my question to the GP Community.  The MO is not cancelled when the Sales Order is attempting to be voided, it is still active in Released status.  We are not using a Terminal Server.

    Hello,

I am wondering if the MO linked to the Sales Order is already cancelled on the times that it doesn't prompt?  Essentially Method 2 of this KB was used prior to them trying to void (I understand that you are not seeing the message, but I am just referencing the KB below)?  The other thing that I would check is if you are on a Terminal Server with load balancing maybe there maybe the issue is isolated to 1 install and only happens when they are hitting that server.
