Gents,

We are in the process of deploying Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU10, all partners are pushing us to get Visual Studio 2010, which i think is ridicules and outdated. Can anyone share their experience in using a more updated version and what are the obstacles they've faced?

in summary, why not use visual studio 2015?

Also, what about sharepoint version?

Dynamics AX 2012 installation guide tell us to use VS2010 only if you are NOT yet on AX2012R3-CU8.

Once CU8 of R3 or any up version till CU10, VS 2013 is recommend version.

you can open PDF guide and search keyword Visual studio, you will find facts.
