Where is the Number Sequence Reference text field stored?

Hi


In AX 2012, where is the Number Sequence Reference text stored? (Organisation Administration --> Common --> Number Sequences --> Edit)

It seems the field gets filled by a Method, which seemingly calls another Method, and after that I lose track. Thank you for your help!

    Which field do you mean, exactly? The Reference field in the grid on the References fast tab?

    If it's included in number sequence definition (in a NumberSeqModule* class), it's stored in NumberSequenceDatatype.ReferenceLabel field. If not, it's taken from Label property of the data type associated with the number sequence. If it doesn't have any label either, AX uses the name of the data type enclosed by < and >.

    If you need the value, you shouldn't try to construct it again - simply call the method.
