I created a sales order

sent it out to be filled and then inputted all the necessary information

but it keeps coming up with an error

Warehouse handling is required for Document Type = Order, Document No. SO22571, Line No. = 10000

What does that mean?

that means that the used location requires warehousing. to do that create an inventory pick out from the sales order card ... after you've released the sales order. goto actions tab, button create inv. pick.

When do you get that error ? It means you location is warehouse enabled so you need to go create a warehouse shipment and create pick from it and register pick from there then post the shipment.

If possible send us the screenshot of the location card warehouse tab

    Hi,

Please open the respective Location Card, navigate to the Warehouse tab and check whether the "Require Shipment" or "Require Pick" is having a check mark.  If there's a check mark, it means it requires a warehouse handling.

This means your selected location is set for a warehousing and you need to go through the setup process. You need to create inventory pick once you release your sales order. To make sure the things go to the related location card and navigate to the warehouse tab and check is there any check marks on "Require Pick" or "Require Shipment". If so you need to follow the process Jonathan and I have mentioned.
