Problem with Account string on General Journal

Posted on by 3,987

I have a strange problem with my Account String on an line in a General Journal.

When I look at the Account String on the line it shows the correct values, but on the general tab one of the Dimension values are missing.

GeneralTab.jpg

On the line it shows Account = 405020000-0204014001-322140700-010460

On the general tab its = 405020000 - - 322140700-010460

Why is this happening, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Just a little update, I tried to look what you suggest here, but its clear to me that if I have to dig into this with my limited understanding of the Dimension table relations in AX2012, I would have to spend more time on this that I can get the customer to pay for.

So I will have to leave this as unsolved.

    But thanks for your help.

Ok but my problem is that i don't quite understand the Dimension structure in AX2012, so I don't quite know what i have to update.

Hmm not sure what to think about that, you can change the Setups so if you do the system should handle that, but that is not really the point now.

The problem is that someone might have done that and now we have a problem with an account string, is it not possible to repair the problem?

I am not sure if it was the right think i debugged, but in the loadSegments() method on the AccountNum1 field it gets the currentMainAcountId, and the recid it gets there i can't find in the DimensionAttribute table.

    Is that helpfull?

And yes it is possible that someone played with the account structures.

It does seem to display it correct on the voucher, but in the info box, its not showing the Dimension "Formaal" but it does show that on the second line.

So it seems it might have something to do with the Dimensions not being looked up correctly.

Ohh and when i closed the Voucher form, i got this error.
