Hello all,

I have created a web resource new_TextEditor with a text editor (CKEditor). On the same form i have a lookup field and a button.  When i click the button, i want to add the value from the lookup field to the end of the text from new_TextEditor.

I don't know how to add data from the lookup field at the end of the text editor.

    Hello Alexandra_C;

    I'd like to ask a few questions around why your doing it this way? Why wouldn't the user just click and open the editor and add text to the end of the file? Is it just a text file or is it javascript?

    Resource files are stored encrypted I believe so I don't believe it would be a simple task. I believe most tools you find to edit resource files are loading them locally and then re uploading them using the web services.

    I look forward to your answers and hope I can help.

    Hello,

    I have created my own email template entity new_testemail and new_body field (multiple lines). I have imported the solution for CKEditor and created a html web resource new_TextEditor that copies the text typed in the editor in new_body field.  In this text the user needs to insert data from other entities. For that, i have created a new entity  (new_entityfield) that stores the entity name and the field name that the user might need to insert in his text. In new_testemail entity i have a lookup field that targets new_entityfield entity. I am not using crm entity template, because in templatetypecode field i can't add new options for my new entities, and i can't add new fields.

    Here are my entities with some fields and an example:entity: new_offer

    fields: new_name, new_code

    ex: Offer1; 12345

    ex: Offer2; 45678

    entity: new_participant

    fields: new_name, new_email (single line text)

    ex: Sam; sam@yahoo.com

    ex: Jane; jane@yahoo.com

    entity: new_entityfield

    fields: new_entityname (single line text), new_entityfield (single line text), new_name = new_entityname + " - " + new_entityfield

    ex: new_offer; new_name

    ex: new_participant; new_name

    ex: new_participant; new_email

    entity: new_testemail

    fields: new_body (multiple lines text), new_getinfo (lookup - tagets new_entityfield entity)

    ex: new_body := Hello {new_participant - new_name}! This is an announcement for the offer {new_offer - new_name} with code 12345.

    => Sam will receive this text: "Hello Sam! This is an announcement for the offer Offer1 with code 12345."

      Jane will receive this text: "Hello Jane! This is an announcement for the offer Offer1 with code 12345."
