Shall i go for AOT -- SSRS Reports -- <Report> -- Right click -- ExportIs't right process?
Note : Just i want to know if some thing wrong is happen in design level in report in VS then how i will get the original reports ?
Please give me more shed on this.

Thanks!

Yes, you can do that way. Also you can get report directly from the Report Server and save it as backup as well. I would recommend exporting related objects as well as XPO.

    Thanks

    Hi @rp@n,

If you are talking about standard report you don't really need to care about backup because you will do changes on another layer so original version would be always available.

However if it is a custom report you can export XPO from AOT\SSRS Reports\ and AOT\Visual Studio Projects\Dynamics AX model project\ just in case you will change any methods in report.

You always can duplicate original design before customize and have two designs on the report desingOld and desing.

Since you have been talking about TFS in a previous topic, if you have the SSRS reports under version control, you can easily rely on that.

If there are no customizations yet and report is on SYS/SYP, you are safe and can always delete your changes to fall back. If you have customizations just make sure it is checked in to TFS. After that you can always revert your changes with Undo checkout, or Rollback to specific version.

    Thanks Rizwan,

As you said report directly get from the Report Server and save it as a backup. Is't RDL files?

    Thanks!

    Thanks Vilmos,

Yes, i am using TFS for SSRS report.
My report is not standard report. It's customized report. I am working in to it.
Suppose before starting work i forgot to take backup of my report. And i did mistake in SSRS report in VS.
Then i want to get back my original report. In this scenario, which object i need to do "Undo checkout" in Dynamics AX?
