When i tried to cancel a sale order the below error occurs " Quantity ordered may not be reduced because there are not enough inventory transactions with 'on order' status."
it is an intercompany sale order related to a purchase order

Can you see any ordered on order transaction types in the transaction of item linked with the sales order? Can you check that which order it's relating to.

We have a Purchase order (PO) linked to this sale order and PO is in invoiced status.
Please refer the order delivery status and kindly explain about the column- Quantity Deliver remainder, invoiced,delivered

Well, I have some old intercompany sales orders which are still on the status “Open order”. The reason, why they are open is one article that is no longer available.So I tried to remove the article from the order.To do so, I open the order, use the “Update line” > “Deliver remainder” and in the following window I select “Cancel quantity”.Then I get the error message: “ Quantity ordered may not be reduced because there are not enough inventory transactions with 'on order' status.”
If anyone has an idea, I would be happy to hear it.

Please check the following
1. Check the related output order and then delete the order. After deleting the output order, you may be able to cancel the order.
