D365 Customer Insights non prod license change?

Hello,
 
As D365 marketing has been folded into the D365 Customer Insights license, how do clients work with this change in regards to creating non prod marketing environments? Before this license change, there was a D365 Marketing non prod license. Is there going to be a D365 Customer Insights non prod license? All that I can find right now seems to advise customers to change the environment type to sandbox in order to test something before converting it back to prod. Is that the new approach to this?

    For customers who only have the Marketing license, the standalone license model can be saved until the contract expires or renewed in another contract cycle.

    Customer Insights offers a free 30-day trial. 
    Sign up for a free Customer Insights - Journeys trial - Dynamics 365 Customer Insights | Microsoft Learn

    If the non-production is to be converted into a production environment intended for permanent work in the organization.
    It is possible to start with development and testing in a sandbox environment and finally convert to a production environment.

    Hey

    At the moment, licenses will remain.  As expiration arrives to your licenses, you should be prompted to switch license.  From what I see, the Customer Insights license that will be available for purchase, allows deploying in up to 4 environments:
    So instead of purchasing 1 marketing license for prod and 1 for sandbox, you could purchase 1 Customer INsights that will allow you to deploy in both environments
