Reoccuring purchase requisition

Hello!

I am currently training staff on the requisition system on the web client. Someone asked today if it was possible to have a reoccurring requisition where they order 2 boxes of paper a month. I don't think you can do that automatically as a requisition but what I thought we could do is submit a requisition for 24 cases of paper. Office Depot would then auto deliver and invoice 2 cases a month. Do you think that is the best way to do this?

Thank you for your input!

    RE: Reoccuring purchase requisition

    Hi Amanda,

You are correct that we don't have a reoccurring option for Requisitions, but I do have a two more ideas for you.

    1.  You could create 12 different requisitions using the 'Copy' Feature under the Actions Button by copying the first one and then just change the required dates on each.  (keep in mind that if the first requisition was already posted you have to change the filter in the lookup to select a historical requisition to copy)

    2.  You could create 1 requisition with 12 different lines, with a different required date on each line.   When the PO is created it would have each of the 12 lines listed separately so you could just ship and invoice the 2 quantity each month on the PO.

    I hope this helps!
