How to show date & time for when contacts joined a Marketing List/ Subscription List - Dynamics 365 Marketing

Hello all,

Is there a user friendly way of showing when contacts joined or were added to a marketing list/ subscription list on an aggregated level?

For example, during a campaign we had 5,000 contacts signing up for our subscription list. Now, we would like to see at which date and time did they sign up? This would allow us to identify any trends such as if there's a specific day where more contacts subscribed than other days, etc.

Viewing Marketing Insights per individual contact or using the Audit Summary View is not considered user friendly or an efficient solution in this scenario. Ideally it would be possible to create a simple view on the marketing list table and list all related contacts and the date for when they joined the list.

Any supported way of achiving this in the Marketing App at the moment? Or, do we need to solve this through a Power BI report?

Thanks!

    Hi Leah,

    Thank you for your reply!

Yeah, I also think we would have to make some customizations to solve this.

    Hi Joakim,

Unfortunately, there are no OOB ways to achieve it in the Marketing App at the moment.

If you don't want to use Marketing Insights or the Audit Summary View, maybe you can try to do some customizations to achieve your goal, but the difficulties are many.

Firstly, you need to use power automate, Trigger one flow when a Marketing or Subscription List is updated, the updates mentioned here contain members that are added to the list.

Then you can add one custom date field on contact entity, and use current time to update the field in the flow.
