URGENT! Blank item ledger entry

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by 95

The first ledger entry in the ILE is blank in Our DB.

We are using NAV2009 Classic Client. It does not let me delete it since there is a huge actual cost (e.g: 250K USD ) amount associated with it.

What should I do?

Having a blank Item Ledger Entry is non sense since this table is used to track items transaction history.

As it is a license protected table you can't remove the line unless you ask your partner to do so.

If this line has nothing to do in your Item Ledger Entries you can also try to use an Item Journal to reverse this entry. (use the "Apply-to Entry No." field in order to explicitely reverse the problematic entry.)

    Hope it helps...

    Hi,

ledger entries are read-only in NAV. The "blank" entry is probably a date compressed entry, summing up a whole period. Even more likely is that its a date compressed entry of deleted items (deleting items is possible, when the inventory is 0, all item ledger entries of this item are closed and all of this is in a closed year). Deleting it is still not really an option, though.

    with best regards

    Jens

    Benoit,

Tried the solution, Item journal doesn't accept the entry since it has no item no. in addition the quantity is 0. Ultimately lands up with nothing to post. Reversal Failed. :-(

    Jens,

I am trying to verify if thats true by adding up all other actual costs positives and negatives to sum up approximately at it, is it the way to verify a date compressed entry? By the way we have not deleted any Items and we have not closed any Inventory and accounting period so far.

    Awaiting reply.
