How to find the encryption key for credit card payments on server?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I am implemented a credit card solution on NAV2013R2.

The problem is that the test connection was OK, but not the real transaction. We received an error message 20002. So, I am searching on the server the encryption key (same number like in payment service  connection setup) but I never found it!

On which folder should I search to check the key?

I don't know...should I be worried that there is an accessible encryption key for a credit card payment in NAV?

In fact, the matter is on paypal account. It seems that the procedure to create a new account on paypal was interupted before the end! So, we are in discussion with paypal, but it takes so long time... No people at the phone, Always busy!!!

    hi,

give the nav service account at least read permission (on file basis). and if that is not enough, give also read permission to your AD/windows user. that should be no problem. if you are in doubt, make a copy of the key file.

    In fact, I found it on C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\71\Service\Add-ins\Online Services\providerkey.key

But this file is denied !

Could I change the permission on it without any troubles on the key itself?

Thanks in advance for your help.
