Unable to publish through excel add ins

Hi,

I'm using 'add table' functionality to add a table through the excel add ins, however it takes 8-10 minutes which is common because I have 4,00,000 rows in database. I'm trying to publish CustTable however, after processing 8-10 minutes it gives me the following error

"An error occurred. The data in the workbook and the behavior of any add ins may not be correct. Consider contacting your system administrator about this problem. The socket connection has been disposed."

Any idea how to solve this?

    Hi,

    Did you consider using the data import/export framework module instead? It is more stable than the excel add in and can process large volume.

    Excel add ins is not recommended for such a large amount of data,

    Please consider reviewing Windows event log for more details about the error

    Hi John,

    There is a default time-out setting on 10 minutes. You can read more about this and how to change it in the next blog: blogs.msdn.com/.../dynamics-ax-2012-excel-add-in-timeout-issues.aspx

    But maybe it is better to use the Data Import/Export Framework (DIXF). This is because of the volume but also when you create a customer, it also needs records in other tables like Globall address book and addresses. The Customer entity in DIXF takes care of these related tables.

    Any idea how to solve this?

    I want to extract data regarding inventory by  using excel add in. Any other way to do this i will be obliged if any one let me know
