Rebate management posting profiles payment type

Anybody knows any real difference between these two settings?

    Hi,
    In terms of field descriptions, these three payment types are the same, the difference is in their intended purpose, as the word suggests:
    When the discount is applied directly to the customer deduction, select Customer Deduction, reflects a decrease in the amount of the client's account.
    When you select Trade spending, discounts are seen more as part of trade spending.
