Hi
we are currently running AX2012 R2 with some hotfixes but no actual CU.
As what we saw at least from CU7 there are many issues fixed or optimzsed ( excel import for GL, managment reporter etc)
Now the questions is, has anyone a clue how if jumping from AX 2012R2 to R3 or AX2012R2 latest CU has a big difference in what to do? We have quite some customizations.

in addition, I am not sure how it can change your process of working with AX ; but functionality wise you will feel big change in Warehousing and transportation. Please read about R3 changes of Warehousing and transportation, before going on it.
Hi Pirmin,
If you have customizations, for both upgrade paths you will need to merge coding. When you upgrade to R3, you are closer to the next major release(s) as R2 does not have new modules like TMS and TMS.
