General Journal Line Approval Workflow

Hi,

I am using the out of the box general journal line workflow and we are using a workflow user group for approval process.

Now, there is a requirement that, there should be a status field and it should show the approval status (Pending approval, Approved, etc..).

Can we implement this using the standard workflow process? Or do we need to modify it? This is there in Purchase Order workflow, but not in general journal line workflow.

Hi

1st of all in Standard NAV Gen Journal Line table don't have any approval status field .You need to customized full function .

Yes, you can inherit from Finance Template Workflow "General Journal Line Approval Workflow", then customize your own Workflow Response to update GJL Status.

Hi,

If anyone of you added this Workflow "Status" field on the General Journal Line, how did you do it? Looking for the best design idea :)

It's a function really missing from the standard, when having multiple lines it's very difficult to see which ones are not yet sent, which are pending and which are approved...
