Dear Expert,

I am using now AX 2009, I need more clarifications about the  differences between forecast scheduling and master scheduling? I read two concepts, net requirements and gross requirements, What are these with examples?

Regards,

Forecast is what you forecast you will need to buy/make/sell. Most people see this as a sales forecast - what will I sell to drive my plan.

Master scheduling is taking all of the inputs stock, BOM, demand (sales, forecast, production, transfers etc.) and telling you what you need to make/buy/move.
