Images in mobile view

Hello, 
 
Can anyone assist with a query on image sizes please?
 
I use 600 x 400, and 450 x 400 in the same email created in Designer. When in mobile view, the 450 x 400 is bigger - is there a way to avoid this? Examples below.
 
Any help or input would help.
