Problems with Salutation Formulas

When I try to create an Interaction Log entry in Navision (2016 version, installed in Spain), specifically when I want to close a To-do by making an interaction log entry, I fill in the first Edit – Create Interaction window and hit Next, but the following message appears:

The Salutation Formula does not exist. Identification fields and values: Salutation Code=’SR.’,Language Code=’ESP’,Salutation Type=’Formal’

If I go to the Edit – Salutation Formulas window (through the customer’s Contact Card and then the salutation drop-down menu) I read that actually Salutation Code is SR. and Language Code is ESP, but Salutation Type is Informal. So I select Formal for the Salutation Code, and then I save everything from there back (Oks, Refreshes). When I try to create the Interaction Log Entry while closing a To-do, and after I filled in again the the first Edit – Create Interaction windw, I click Next the following message appears:

The Salutation Formula does not exist. Identification fields and values: Salutation Code=’SR.’,Language Code=’ESP’,Salutation Type=’Informal’

What is this all about ? it looks like a loop I’m trapped in. Does anybody have a hint, a tip, anything ? I thank you all very much in advance for what you’ll be able to write me. Thank you again.

    RE: Problems with Salutation Formulas

    Hi Raoul,

you have to have both - formal AND informal salutation formulas defined. To do so, open the 'Salutations' page. Find the SR record and hit 'Formulas' on the ribbon. On the Salutation Formulas page, there should be 2 records for Language ESP. If you have only one, click 'New' and create a new entry for Spanish language (if you have formal, then create informal formula, or other way round). Now you will have both - formal and informal codes and no more error messages when creating interaction.

    Hope that helps.

    Robertas
