If I place a percentage of scrap onto an item it never flows through to components. The problem is I always need twice the amount of a component, so would like to set a 100% scrap but the item is across tons of production boms. Current workaround methods is just to set and keep up with it on every single individual bom it is on; and that is what most forums have recommended. Is this really the best NAV can do? Whenever the scrap & of this item changes I have to change every single bom again.

Hi,
Yes, but you could write a very small piece of code to the OnValidate trigger of the Scrap % field, that loops through the bom lines and does the adjustment for you.
