Refresh Form retain position

Hi,

I've developed a custom form but when refreshing form that is opened from a listpage It will select the first record. Its driving me crazy on how to maintain the current record position after refreshing.

Hi reignheart05,

If you refreshing form from code using research() method than you can pass "true" as first parameter and it will retail position msdn.microsoft.com/.../aa597768(v=ax.50).aspx

Hi Ievgen,

The thing is.. when i try table.research I cant seem to find the research method.

name of form datasource is DRDHeader_ds but there is research method.

Also I am using F5 to refresh.

Can you please elaborate your question, what are actually doing, refreshing form from UI or doing it from code?

If you have some code, maybe you want to share it ?

refreshing from UI(F5 or Refresh Button on form).

Here's how it looks like there's no research method... and when refreshing form

I am at record 18... it will go back to first record

I can see refresh method overridden on the data source, what code do you have there ?

You could capture the current record before calling super() in executeQuery(), then after you could just do findRecord() to set the position to the previous value.

just a quick question on my form datasources.. when i try calling those datasource I don't see research method..

Because probably you are trying to call it on your table. Add the _ds tag after your table name to refer to its' datasource.
