I get an error when I try to publish this ribbon. There are no brackets in anything that I can see. I have tried the Ribbon workbench in CRM and in the XRM Tool Kit.
This is driving me nuts. I have created another solution thinking that the other elements might be the problem but no matter what I do I get the errot.

I believe you have : in the function name. I don't think that you have function with name ribbon:printLotSticker.
Can you please provide declaration of that function?

This is expected error ,function name should not contain special character : .
So remove : and give proper name like ribbonprintLotSticker . Make sure in the web resource file should contain same name.
That should have been ribbon.printlotsticker not the :. Maybe the error should say you have a special character not brackets.
