There is unfortunately no simple solution to this error message,
(I have tried to explain this simply so to the very technical excuse the terminology)
What it means is that NAV is trying to work with an external program (In this case Excel) and is unable to find the "Automation Server"
This is the bit of software that provides the translation between NAV an Excel, this error means that in the NAV code it is looking for that bit of software and cannot find it
A couple of reasons that this can happen:
The version of Excel used in the development of the NAV component is newer than the one used on this PC
The PC had a faulty or incomplete installation of Excel
There is a problem with the NAV install
The PC's windows install is faulty and the only solution might be a format and re-install
The above are things are all items i have found that cause this problem
