Hello All,

I have one standard report used of controller class  query based report used  of Print management for multiple report print.

I need to add some business logic  to add some extra field in that report ,so I have added one DP classes and add our logic to retrieve the particular field.

Now report is opening but after clicking ok in dialog page  its throwing data set error.

Could you please suggest we can proceed with controller class and DP class ?

Please suggest  your suggestion.

Regards

Deepak

    Hi Deepak;

Can you paste the error here?

Are you saying that you completely reworked the report and changed from a query-based one to RDP-based? That's a major change and there are many things where you may did things wrong, especially if you didn't test your changes in smaller batches during development.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by "so we can use  only controller class and DP class?".

If I was you, I would use the debugger to debug the code. You can't fix it until you find out what's wrong, which is where

    the debugger comes extremely handy.

    Hello Martin,

Thanks so much for your reply !

My concern report can create use of DP class and controller class only or we need to  add contract class .

As per standard report ,no need to pass any parameter through the contract.

After debugging  i am not able to reach the DP class.

    Regards

    Deepak

You don't need any data contract class if you don't need any parameter.

If RDP class isn't even reached, you probably have a problem in the controller, so that's what you should debug.
