a customer wants to manage/plan events like trainings in dynamics nav.
in detail following features would be needed:
- manage event base data: dates, time from-to, room, trainer, needed resources (computer, ...)
- manage the attendees / contacts
- manage trainer and other resources and the costs
- manage invoices for the attendees
- a basic cost accounting
has someone developed a module like that? how would you implemente these requirements?
first ideas:
* manage attendees as customers and contacts
* set up trainings as items, document date = event/start date, maybe additional field end date
* sales invoices for invoicing the attendees, who take part: add training item in sales line
questions:
* is the job module an option to map the needed features?
* what would be the best way to invoice internal/external trainers?
* which dimensions would i need for cost accounting?
* what's the best way to connect the event base data, the resource costs, the attendees invoices?
any help would be appreciated.
