Hi everyone,
I'm strugling in getting the Regarding info to show in Outlook tasks (created after a due Phone Call in D365 Sales) as it is impossible to understand what the task is about without this field/info.
Do you happen to have a solution for that?
Thank you!
Hi Mustafa,
You're saying that all users of D365 cannot have Phone Call reminders? How do they get reminded then?
Hello,
Dynamics app for Outlook is a lightweight app compared to the full Outlook client plugin (legacy add-in). We are aware of this functionality (tracking tasks in Outlook) should be added as soon as all evaluations are carried out and completed.
We have a manual workaround for now - When you create a task/phone call in D365 sales, If you add the 'regarding' info in the subject or description/body of the task then it is helpful to understand what the task is about when you access the task in Outlook.
Hope this helps.

Thank you Mustafa.
What a petty though... Where's the much advertised integration then?
So, reminders ring on Outlook and then you have to navigate to Dynamics to see what this is about? Is this the way you work with notifications?

Hello,
Hope you are doing good. Thanks for your query.
You can see the Regarding info on the tasks (phone call) in Outlook if you have Dynamics for Outlook client (plugin) or 'D365 app for Outlook' in your Outlook.
Dynamics for Outlook client (plugin) is deprecated on Dynamics 365 Online. Its available for Dynamics on-premise.
'Dynamics app for Outlook' doesnt support tasks (Tracking and regarding info) at the moment. You can see the regarding details for emails/appointments.
Hope this helps,
Mustufa F
