I've started to add some of CRM entities to various Channels in Teams, which is great, but I notice that when I try to choose a Custom Entity, it's not available from the list of entities displayed. Is there a way to get custom entities to show when trying to add a CRM tab to a Channel?
Thanks
Brian
Hi IronPatriot,
The following MS documentation link lists the record types that support teams integration and explains that for custom entities you need to do it programmatically.
[View:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/teams-integration/teams-collaboration#record-types-that-support-microsoft-teams-integration:320:240]
"If you want to enable Microsoft Teams integration for additional entities or custom entities, you can only do it programmatically using the msdyn_SetTeamsDocumentStatus Web API action. More information: [View:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/developer/integration-dev/teams-integration-using-code:320:160]"
Please mark as verified if the answer is helpful.
Thanks :)
This will come available in October 2019.

That's just to enable Teams; it doesn't enable Custom Entities.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, though.
Hi there,
In Dynamics 365, document management must be enabled for the custom entity.

Thanks for your reply, but that doesn't actually answer my question. I don't want to connect a single record, account, or contact. I want to connect to a Custom Entity in CRM.
Cheers
Hi! Yes. You can choose a particular record to connect to the teams channel. Ensure that the entity is 'User or Team' owned.
