Descriptions in D365 General Ledger issue

Hi all,

How do you view proper descriptions in the general ledger through the voucher transactions ?

Once you post an invoice the description you captured in the first line duplicate into the rest of the lines when it gets to the general ledger.

Which D365 product are you using? The D365 brand covers quite a few things, such as Finance and Operations, Business Central or Customer Engagement.

You're asking in the general forum, but you clear have a particular product in mind.

Hi,

Just documents few steps for reference regarding the descriptions used in the Journal. You can either enter the description manually or use Default Description functionality. If your organization needs unique descriptions per line, a customization might be required.

Default Description- In Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, the Default Description functionality allows you to set up predefined text for various transactions that are automatically posted to the General Ledger. This helps maintain consistency and clarity in financial records.
