Changing default charts

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello

I want to change the default chart when looking at the responses in reports. Are you able to customize the charts either based on a survey or the type of question?

I.e. at the moment I have the chart shown below, which is very messy and would be better displayed in other way.

I would love that. We have already used Power BI for other stuff here.

    No, it's not live :(

We ended up having reports in Power BI. Feel free to contact me to get  more details

Is this live now? We struggle with getting logical charts from the "likert" options. We really need to be able to change the graph in the results to something that is more readable. the graph like the one in the start question here is not a good way of reading the results.

    Hi Mads,

This should be available in July for GA.

    Hello Rik Roy

Thanks for the answer. Is there an ETA on this update? Is this part of release wave 1?

    Hey,

So currently you can point at any part of the chart to get an understanding of what is being represented in that part, but not modify the chart. We have a upcoming feature slated to release this year to include filter based reporting where you will be able to select from a range of filters to modify the default chart based on the selected filters, which includes types of questions among other options.
