empty company filed in contacts

I apologize for any confusion, this is my first time trying to ask a question.

I used a csv file to try and import a contact list in Dynamics Marketing. After the import the company field in contact is empty and I can't find a field in details called company where I can type in the information. What am I missing? The other fields (name, e-mail, phone) imported just fine.

Thank you,

Phil Cordeau

    Hi Phil,

In my thought, there are two points that you may pay attention to:

    1. Have you reviewed that your Company Name column has been mapped to Company Field successfully ?

Before import the data into system, you could check review mapping:

Company Name field is a lookup field for Contact entity

    2. As the point 1 mentioned, due to Company Name is a lookup field, so you should keep the value you type in csv file can be match to existing Account record in system.

Each import operation will be recorded as an Importfile entity record, you could visit link below for import porcess details whether there was any error during importing task.

In addition, what's your csv template from ? I just download an excel template from Excel templates button and save it as csv file in excel and everything works fine.

    Hi Clofly,

I would be happy to do so, only I haven't figured out how yet. Any help with that as well would be welcome.
