Centralized payroll payments

Hi all,

This is regarding a requirement of one of my customers. The customer wants to centralize the payroll payments to employees of multiple legal entities using one bank account which is the bank account of one of the legal entities.

Has anybody worked on a scenario  as above before? If so , please help me as it is highly urgent.

On my part , I have tried changing or overwriting the offset account in the payment journal to the centralizing bank account after trying out some code changes and the intercompany set up. But this seems to be infeasible as we have to make significant changes in the ledgertrans table and the corresponding classes.

Is there really a way to do this?

    Hi VivekMuralidharan,

    Do you make use of the Dynamics AX payroll module for the US or have you created something on your own.

    The employees that you want to pay are they setup as vendors or is this all tracked through the HR / payroll module?

    Hi Ludwig, thanks for the response. I am tracking the employees through HR/payroll module rather than vendors.. Using payroll payment journals for employee payments in each legal entity.

    And we are using AX Payroll for US.

    Hi Vivek,

    Unfortunately, I cannot help you much with this as we do not use the US payroll module here. If you are not tracking the payments through vendors I doubt that there is another centralized payment functionality available but I might be wrong.

    Probably take a look at the Dynamics Learning Portal, Customer/Partner Source if you can find more information on that.

    Would be great if you could Keep us updated here.

    Hi Ludwig, thanks for the response. Can you give me a brief on how do you centralize the payments for vendors in AX 2012 R3? I would be able to take cues from that for coming up with a solution.
