Hi, I use Category based tracking to track Emails and Appointments from Outlook to CRM. That works fine. After tracking if I make an update to tracked Email or Appointment in Outlook the updates falls nicely to CRM. But if I make an update to tracked Email or Appointment in CRM they are not falling to Outlook. Is that the way the Category based tracking works or should the updates in CRM fall to Outlook?
Hello and thank you for using the forums.
Reviewing the documentation around this, while we do not explicitly state that this process is only one way (from Outlook to D365/CRM), it does seem that all the language points to this.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/use-outlook-category-track-appointments-emails
Specifically, we talk about how actions will affect the properties of the tracked item in D365, but we do not talk about how an action in D365 will affect Outlook.
Please allow me to research a little further and confirm if my above indication is correct.
Thank you,
