Is there any possibility to translate Unit and Unit group Look Up values ?

HI Team,

Any idea how to translate unit field look Up Values ?

It's not clear in the below link

Hi Sai, the values are managed by the system administrator, is not values that come from the customization so a translation for the unit itself is not possible unless you are using custom code.

With custom code you can intercept the message retrieve multiple request and replace the label with a translation, but this might create confusion because different users will see different names, and for external parties Box and its translation will be 2 different records.

It is possible, You need to add a description column in the lookup view.

You also need to add translations in the description column.

HI Abdul, Thank you for the follow up !

We have created description field in a unit Entity, provided the translation value. We can't add Description field into look Up view. It's not customizable. It's picking only Name field. Please let know the further steps you can do to show Translated value instead of English value in look Up search.

Note :- Translation is only needed for one Market . It's a global form and values commonly used by all markets.

Hi Abdul!

Thank you for the response ! I was referring to Unit entity, I guess adding a description field in view can't sort this issue. Because the form has been using by 8 different markets where for them it should populate in English, for only one market it should show in Spanish. Can you please share your detail ideas to implement and try at once.

Also, I hope that's the common document on Product functionality for all Dynamics365 apps. Is there a special doc for CRM Dynamics ?
